UAF Academy
Are you still in your asylum procedure or are you waiting for the start of integration? Have you had 12 years of prior training? Don't you want to wait and do something?
Then you can use the UAF Academy. This is the UAF's online learning platform. Here you can start learning Dutch and find other useful information about what you can do during the waiting period. This way you can immediately start preparing for integration and your future in the Netherlands at the AZC!
What can the UAF do for me?
The UAF can give you tips and advice to find out what your options are for study and work in the Netherlands. You can be registered as a UAF Member. With that you get access to the UAF Academy. That is an online learning platform where you can follow e-learnings can follow. For example, language courses. You can also find a lot of information here about study and work in the Netherlands, for example over making a study choice. This way you can search for what suits you and what is possible in the Netherlands.
What are the fees?
The consultation, like our other support, is free. Also the e-learnings at the UAF Academy are free. As a UAF Member you get access to the UAF Academy for six months.
When will you be admitted to the UAF Academy?
The UAF Academy is for refugee students and professionals who are still working on their asylum procedure or are waiting for the start of integration.
During the consultation we will discuss whether you meet the following conditions:
- You have applied for asylum and
- a) you have not yet received a residence permit
or - b) you have received an asylum residence permit but have not yet had contact with your future municipality
or - c) as a Ukrainian refugee you are covered by the Temporary Protection Directive and have an O document or sticker.
- a) you have not yet received a residence permit
- You have completed some preliminary training. This is comparable to the Dutch HAVO 5 level or 12 years of pre-education.
- You speak English or Dutch at an intermediate level, so you can use the e-learnings can follow well at the UAF Academy.
