'Why philanthropy helps us survive': this is what philanthropy expert and publicist Edwin Venema spoke to about thirty loyal donors of UAF on September 4 in Utrecht in the context of its 75th anniversary.

Venema advocated the restoration of harmony between the hearts and minds of donors in a sector where impact thinking – and the polarization of reason and feeling – sometimes seems to have gone through the guardrail.

Make a difference with a special gift to the UAF

With a special gift you invest in the development of knowledge and talent of refugee students and professionals. Partly thanks to these special gifts, we guide an average of almost four thousand refugees per year to a sustainable place in the labor market. Take Ammar, for example, who secured a permanent job at NS thanks to his participation in the work-study program that we developed in collaboration with Fontys University of Applied Sciences. With a special gift you really make a difference.

What is the advantage of a special gift?

If you make a special gift, a donation of 2.500 euros or more, you can discuss your wishes and needs with your regular contact person. In addition, your contact person will keep you informed of the results achieved with your special gift.

Good to know: special gifts from 10.000 euros can be given a specific destination. This ensures that your money is spent on the projects that are close to your heart. Donors who make a special gift always receive an invitation to UAF live!, our annual event.

Because we have an ANBI status, donations to the UAF are in many cases tax-deductible.
